In this class, an introduction to Systematic Theology is communicated to students as they continue to expand their understanding of the Christian faith and theology. Students will be introduced to doctrines such as Revelation, Illumination, Pneumatology (Holy Spirit), Soteriology (Salvation), and many other doctrines. BIB301 - History of Christian Theology

This class is an introduction to evangelical theology as traced through Church history. The foundation of the course is on the belief that the understanding and application of evangelical theology determines how a believer lives their life everyday. This class will examine 25 major events in Church history as well as Christianity in North America and Canada. Topics discussed include the Authority of Scripture, the Sovereignty of God, the Person and Redemptive Work of Christ, the Person of the Holy Spirit, the Role of the church, and the Fulfillment of Our Blessed Hope. The course is presented with an appreciation for the diversity of beliefs within the evangelical community. This course is an analysis of the philosophical, religious, and scientific beliefs and ideas that have shaped different cultures and are now reshaping our multicultural and pluralistic society. Differences in attitudes toward the value and purpose of life, sexual identity and roles, racial and cultural differences, God, good and evil, etc., are all discussed with the goal of learning how to better communicate the Gospel in our society.(Texts: Eyes Wide Open by William Romanowski; Understanding the Times by David A.
