HST080 - American History

In this course, emphasis is placed on the major events that impacted the American people throughout history. The exploration, colonization, War for Independence, the early years of our government, and the growth of our nation up to Western expansion is covered in the first semester. In the second semester, the course goes on to study pre-Civil War tensions, the Civil War, and then moves to World War II and covers American history up to the present.
