Mr. Bechtel holds a B.S. in Health Education from Slippery Rock University. He is the athletic director at HCS as well as the boys middle school and high school Health and Phys. Ed teacher. Steve is married to Jo Ellen Bechtel who teaches 5th grade at HCS. They have two children, Ben and Katie, who attend the school. His loves are relaxing at St. Thomas Roasters, walking with his wife, hanging out with his family, writing, photography, traveling, and spending time with good friends. He enjoys watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Penn State football games, and University of North Carolina basketball. Steve is excited about the future and the direction God is taking the athletic program here at Harrisburg Christian School.
