Tuition and Financial Aid
How Much is the HCS Tuition?
One of the first questions that Christian parents ask about Christian schooling has to do with
the rate of tuition. The fact is a quality education in a private, Christian school is not
inexpensive. What valued commodity in life is free? Sending one’s children to a quality
Christian school will require the family to make a sacrifice. The good news is that HCS will
match the family’s sacrifice with one of its own through provision of fair and generous tuition
assistance. The great news is that an HCS education is worth it. When one considers that
students will spend 15,210 hours in school and only 2,028 hours in church (assuming an
average of 3 hours of church attendance per week) in the same 13 years, one begins to
appreciate the significance of the impact of a Christian education on a young person’s life.
An HCS quality Christian education is an investment in the eternity of your child.
The HCS Tuition Philosophy
- HCS strives to include students from all of God’s families from all economic levels
- Tuition is determined by dividing the annual budget by the actual enrollment
- Families that have need will receive fair tuition assistance grants
- Families that receive financial assistance are expected to help work at fund raising
Generous Tuition Assistance Is Granted on a Per Family Basis by Application to FFNA
What is FFNA? The Family Financial Needs Assessment program helps qualify families for financial aid while protecting the
confidentiality of the family’s financial information
Who should apply?
- As a general rule of thumb, if a family’s income is under
$42,000 and the tuition is over $2,000, they will probably qualify for financial aid
- Income over $42,000: if your tuition bill exceeds 10% of your annual income
then it is likely that you would qualify for aid (e.g. an income of $50,000 would be
likely to receive tuition assistance if the tuition exceeds $5,000)
- Staff from the Business Office would be glad to help you complete your application to FFNA and
can provide advice, direction, or even the use of a computer with internet access as needed.
